Speaker V. John Ella

John Ella is a shareholder at Trepanier MacGillis Battina P.A. He has practiced employment law for over 20 years and is certified as a Labor and Employment Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has written well over 100 articles on employment law and is the author of the book “Executive Employment Law – A Handbook for Minnesota Executives.” Mr. Ella regularly advises employers on drafting and revising bonus and commission plans and has litigated dozens of lawsuits and arbitrations regarding claims for unpaid wages, commissions, and bonuses. He is a firm believer that careful drafting of bonus and commission plans can avoid expensive litigation.
