In response to the growing concern over COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Northstar Chapter has made the decision to cancel our March monthly meeting with the topic Garnishments. This meeting was scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 19th.
This decision was not taken lightly. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has stated that small gatherings of less than 250 people should be canceled if a space of greater than 6 feet between each attendee cannot be established. This information was used to make this decision as our current venue cannot provide this required distance. You may read more about this request form the Governor at: http://www.startribune.com/minnesota-officials-prepare-new-measures-to-combat-coronavirus/568772352/.
The safety and health of our members is just as important to us as providing the quality education available at our meetings. The board will be discussing the next steps involved with this cancellation, including the possibility of offering this meeting at a later date. We will reach out to the membership as soon as possible with any updates.
